Founded in 1777, the Saint Clare of Assisi Parish is an ethnically diverse Catholic community of faith, united in worship, discipleship and service. In welcoming immigrants, newcomers and strangers, we strive to live these virtues so as to be the face of Christ, becoming a sign of unity and an instrument of God’s peace in the world.

Your gift to the Diocesan Priest Retirement Appeal at our April 21 Masses provides vital funding for medications, nursing care, and more to these priests who have been good shepherds and have kept their promises to the faithful of the Diocese.

Throughout the Diocese of San José, priests serve as loving shepherds to their flocks in our parishes and ministries. There are 45 retired priests in the Diocese and 92 others currently serving in our parishes and in other diocesan assignments. In addition, the Diocese has 38 priests reaching retirement age (70 years old) in the next 12 years and 8 in just the next three years.
