250th Anniversary Kick Off BBQ

Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 5:00 P.M.
Feast of Saint Clare Saturday Evening Mass
5:00 P.M. Special Gathering in the Lourdes Grotto Outside the Church
– Opening Prayer of Our 250th Anniversary
– Blessing of the Bread in honor of Saint Clare, inspired by the miracle
story of the holy cross on the bread.
5:15 P.M. Holy Mass, Solemnity of Saint Clare of Assisi Inside the Church
Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 9:00 A.M.
Feast of the Assumption Procession and Mass
9:00 A.M. Gathering for Procession
– Meet in front of Mission Santa Clara de Asรญs on the Santa Clara
University campus. Parking is available in campus parking garages an
at Saint Clare Parish.
9:30 A.M. Marian Procession
– Solemn re-enactment of August 15, 1926, Marian procession from
Mission Santa Clara de Asรญs Church to Saint Clare Catholic Church.
10:30 A.M. Holy Mass, Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary
at St. Clare Church
– To honor our Blessed Mother on the holy feast day of her Assumption.
– In thanksgiving for the Saint Clare Parish Community which traces its
roots to the 1777 founding of Mission Santa Clara.
– To commemorate the 100-year anniversary of the dedication of Saint
Clare Church on August 15, 1926, and the 50-year anniversary of the
blessing of the Lourdes Shrine at Saint Clare on August 15, 1976.
