Faith Formation

Registration for Children’s Faith Formation for Grade 1 through Grade 6 is NOW OPEN! Our annual sessions from October to May include a two-year preparation for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. We also welcome children over the age of seven who have not yet been baptized to participate in the Rite of Christian Initiation adapted for Children.

To register, please complete each of the following forms and return them to the parish office. You can also complete your payment through the office as well. Considering all current family expenses and financial demands, there is no change to our prior year’s fee of $115.00 per new child plus $60.00 per additional sibling or $60.00 for children who are returning.

Requirements

Family Requirements: 

1. Registration should be properly completed before classes begin or by the end of September. 
2. Attend class either in person or via Zoom every Sunday promptly from 9am until 10:15am. (We will follow CDC and County of Santa Clara restrictions) 
3. Attend Mass regularly (10:30 English or 12:00 Spanish) 
4. Take time to enjoy parents’ responsibilities and participants (child) responsibilities; together. 
5. Bring any issues, questions, or curiosities to the attention of the Catechist or Coordinator 

Parent Responsibilities: 

1. Parents are the primary educators. Be involved in the sacramental life of your child by assisting with practicing daily prayer, assisting with memorizing words or sentences, and assisting with homework when assigned. 
2. Attending and participating in parent orientation, parent meetings by grade, and family meetings. 
3. Make attendance and class activities a priority. Catechist will maintain and submit a signed list of important knowledge your child must complete. 

Participant (child) Responsibilities: 

1. Participate positively, respectfully and follow directions. 
2. Be prepared and participate in activities. 
3. Share experience with others, parents, siblings, family, and friends. 
4. Make attendance and class activities a priority. Catechist will maintain a weekly report.
