Purpose and Membership
WHAT IS A PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL?
The purpose of the pastoral council is to act as stewards of the parish mission and to
advise the pastor on practical matters of parish life. The council studies matters brought to its attention, reflects on them thoroughly, evaluates them and draws sound conclusions. The council presents these conclusions to the pastor in the form of recommendations. This threefold task of the council – investigating, considering and recommending conclusions – is called pastoral planning.
MEMBERSHIP
Our Parish Council is comprised of 12 parishioners:
Cecilia Altamirano, Cyndi Banaag (2023-24 Council Chair), Ryan Bao, Cathleen Lencioni, Nick Nichols, Christina Nolan, Elyse Raby, Mary Reiland, Lucy Silva, Scot Stennis, Ursula Szeles, Kay Tierney, Leandro Vieira, and our parish priest – Father Victor.
All parishioners are potential members and membership is open to all, respecting the reality that each person is unique with potential to make a specific contribution. The current Pastoral Council members’ term is 3 years.

To continue building a more synodal, listening church, we welcome your feedback on all aspects of parish life—whether your family has been at the parish for generations, you’re new to the area, you’re checking out St. Clare’s for the first time, or you’re returning after some time away. You can use the online form (CLICK HERE) to provide feedback to the pastoral council and parish staff as often as you’d like. The form will be submitted ANONYMOUSLY to a parish email address that is monitored by a member of the parish pastoral council and will be shared with the council.

Para continuar a construir uma paróquia mais voltada ao recente Sínodo, a igreja quer escutar os seus membros, em todos os aspectos da vida da paróquia – seja a sua família membros da paróquia por muitas gerações, ou seja novo nesta área, ou esteja a vir a ver a paróquia pela primeira vez, ou regressando depois de muito tempo estar afora da paróquia, pode usar este formulário (CLIQUE AQUI) para prover a sua opinião sobre a mesma ao Conselho Pastoral, ao staff da paróquia quantas vezes veja necessário fazer-lo. Este formulário será submetido para o endereço eletrônico da paróquia que é gerido por um membro do Conselho Pastoral e o mesmo será partilhado com os outros membros (desde que mencione a dizer para não ser partilhado).
